Mill Valley’s 2012 Milley Award winners announced
They will be feted at an awards dinner — emceed by San Francisco Chronicle columnist Leah Garchik — on Oct. 21 at the Mill Valley Community Center. Tickets, at $65, go on sale in early September.
This is the 18th year that Mill Valley has recognized the talents and achievements of people in the arts community for their work and contributions. It’s the only city in the county with an annual arts awards. The event is produced by a volunteer board under the auspices of the Mill Valley Art Commission.
The Milley winners will receive a bronze statuette created by Sausalito sculptor John Libberton. More information on the winners and the awards is online at www. milleyawards.org.
